Delete your HiWall account
HiWall, by FLYYY INC. · Last updated 10 September 2026.
You can delete your HiWall account and everything in it from inside the app, in about ten seconds. You do not have to email anyone, and we do not ask why.
Delete it from the app
- Open HiWall and make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap your profile, top left, to open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Every device you are signed in on is signed out immediately, and deletion begins straight away.
If you no longer have the app
Email support@hiwall.io from the address you signed in with, and ask us to delete your account. We reply within 30 days and usually much sooner. If you used HiWall as a guest, with no email address, tell us the display name and roughly when you used it and we will find the account with you.
What gets deleted
Immediately, when you confirm:
- Every session and signed-in device is revoked. Nobody can use the account again, including you.
- Your account stops appearing to anyone searching for people to invite.
Then, permanently and within 30 days:
- Your photos, and every stored file behind them — the versions other people saw and the untouched camera original.
- Your email address, display name and username.
- Your sign-in identities — the Google or Apple connection, and any pending sign-in codes. If you used Sign in with Apple, we also revoke the token with Apple.
- Your devices and push tokens, and your notification preferences.
- Your reactions, your invitations, and the invitations that named your address.
- Your feedback-board profile, if you ever opened the feedback board, along with the posts, comments and votes attached to it.
What is kept, and for how long
Three things survive, none of which identifies you.
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| A placeholder record reading Deleted user on walls you took part in | Other people's walls stay coherent instead of silently losing a participant. It carries no name, no email address, no username and no photos | For the life of those walls |
| Security and audit entries recording that a privileged action happened on a wall | Required to investigate abuse. Your account id, your IP address and every other identifier are erased from them at the same time, leaving only the fact that something happened | 13 months, then deleted |
| Records of purchases made for a wall — which upgrade, when, and the store's transaction id | Tax and accounting obligations, and so the wall keeps what was paid for. They attach to the wall and to the placeholder above, not to a person. They never contained card details, which only Apple and Google ever see | As long as the law requires us to keep financial records |
Encrypted backups may hold copies for a short period afterwards; they expire on their own schedule and are never used to restore a deleted account.
One thing worth knowing before you decide: deleting your account does not delete a wall you hosted for other people, and it does not remove photos other guests took. It removes yours.
